So instead of YouTubing the show or watching it on TV, this time, we followed the liveblog over at Idol Live, which was an interesting way to find out what happens. Certainly wouldn't do it for the performance night, but it worked out okay for us on the results night.
And the results? Totally satisfactory. I have never gotten on board the Carly train and I'm glad to see it wreck. She certainly has a big voice, but she could not keep on key to save her life and she kept thinking that she sounded good when she got loud and screechy. That voice could have gone a long way in the right hands, but alas, such was not meant to be, and the idol world is all the better for it.
Vaya con Dios, Carly. You will not be missed.
By the way, does anybody else notice that in this picture she looks like a total scary airbrushed robot of doom and destruction? I have some professional training in photography. I don't know too much, but I do know that if you have to use up all your eyeliner in one sitting, it isn't going to translate to pretty on camera.
